Warehouse

Warehouses are structures with no middle columns and wide entrances to ease transportation. Warehouses are one of the most widely used industrial structures all over the world. These structures are built in different sizes and shapes according to the needs of the industry.

One of the most common usages of warehouses is to use them as factories but these structures have other important usages as well.

  • Factories
  • Types of storerooms
  • Airplane Hangars
  • Types of industrial sheds
  • Conference Halls
  • Gyms
  • Auditoriums and Exhibitions
  • Poultry and Livestock

Warehouses include various components that together make the whole structure. Therefore, the absence of one of these components can cause serious problems. These components can all affect the weight of the warehouse which the weight of a warehouse and an industrial shed itself depends on a variety of other factors. As some of these factors, one can mention the height of the columns, length of the entrance, being equipped with overhead crane, the type of the consumables, construction of the warehouse in a windy location or a high-intensity rainfall or snowfall in the area. Therefore, PEDKA engineers design a structure considering such features.

The main components of a warehouse are:

  • Columns
  • Beams
  • Profiles
  • Strut
  • Bracing
  • Rafters
  • Anchor Rod
  • Bolts

Designing is one of the most important stages in constructing a warehouse. This stage takes place according to the usage of the warehouse and the type of industry in which the warehouse is supposed to be used for. Light warehouses, trusses, or ultra-industrial warehouses are different types that can be used based on the variety of the industries. To design a warehouse according to the customers’ will, the land also must be examined to gather proper data about Earthquake-prone, windy, rainfall and snow amounts, soil type, etc. After the designing stage, composing the infrastructure is another important stage. If the infrastructure is not aligned, the warehouse would tilt and severe problems would be caused.

In PEDKA, the designing unit tries to design the best and most suitable structure considering simultaneously the environmental and climatic conditions and customer’s demands by following the national and international standards as well as acquiring the best designing software in the world. It only happens due to acquiring an expert group and skilled specialists, designing process, construction, installation, and commissioning take place in the shortest possible time with the highest productivity and lowest amount of waste.

After the designing stage, a warehouse goes through the following steps:

  • First stage: Construction of different parts and assembly of the warehouse. In this stage, experts and contractors, control the final size and thickness of the constructed structures, and only in this case that there is no contradiction to the planned designs, they allow the assembly group to perform the final works.
  • Second stage: The next step is wielding which must be done according to the standards. In a way that the tolerance of the wielded part must be equal to the tolerance of other parts of the structure. In this regard, acquiring the latest welding equipment and machinery as well as skilled experts is necessary.
  • Third stage: After wielding, the painting stage takes place. At this stage, first different layers of fat, dust, oxide, etc. Must be removed from the surface of the structure, then each part is going to be painted.
  • Fourth stage: Now it is time to connect the connections using bolts or acquiring a variety of other methods. After installing the columns, the entrance of the warehouse will be adjusted. Only after all the connections and parts are installed, the walls will be built.
  • Fifth stage: After finishing the walls, it is necessary to insulate the ceiling and completely cover the warehouse by the roof. The different types of covers used for warehouses include Sandwich panels, shutter sheets, gratings, etc.

It should be noted that all the above steps are carried out under the supervision of supervisory engineers and experts by following national and international standards. Therefore, the process and progress of the project can be monitored and evaluated day by day.
